Exciting week ahead

www.fcbarcelona.cat

This Monday the first team begins to get ready for an intense week in which they play in the final of the King’s Cup on Wednesday against Bilbao at Mestalla followed by a second chance to clinch the League at the weekend.

After the three all draw at Camp Nou against Villarreal which wasn’t enough to make Barça mathematically the League champions, the squad is back at work this Monday with training focussing on the Cup Final against Bilbao at Mestalla on Wednesday. Then on Sunday they only need to get a point to clinch the League title.

Up for the Cup

For the moment the most important fixture is on Wednesday. Manager Josep Guardiola has scheduled sessions on Monday and Tuesday at 11 am at the Ciudad Deportiva Joan Gamper facility by way of preparation. The squad will travel to Valencia on Wednesday morning for the 10 pm Cup Final kick-off at Mestalla.

League again on Friday

The players will then have Thursday off before turning back to the League on Friday. All they need is a point next weekend to clinch the title. If Real Madrid draw or lose at Villarreal on Saturday, or Barça draw or win at Mallorca, the Catalans will be the champions.

To Mallorca on Sunday

The squad will train on both Friday and Saturday at the Ciudad Deportiva Joan Gamper at 11 am. As is now the routine with away League games, they will travel to Mallorca on Sunday morning.

Travel plans for Valencia
