Getafe the only survivor

The Madrid based outfit coached by Víctor Muñoz is the only team Barça has played and yet been unable to beat this season. The other 24 teams have all lost at least once to Guardiola’s men.

Including League, Cup and Champions League, Barça has played against 25 different teams so far this season. Only Getafe has managed to avoid defeat.

Draw in the Camp Nou

Getafe came to the Camp Nou on the 12th matchday of the La Liga season and proved a complicated nut to crack right from the kick-off. They took the lead in the 19th minute through Manu del Moral and it wasn’t until the final minutes that Keita got the equaliser and prevented the visitors from taking away all three points.

Back on track

With later victories over Numancia (4-1) and Racing (1-2) in the second half of the season Barça got back on track and won against the two remaining clubs that had held out earlier in the season. So that means that Getafe is the only remaining obstacle to making it 25 clubs out of 25.

Points dropped in the Camp Nou

However, Getafe is one of the few clubs to prevent Barça from taking all three points in the Camp Nou – the other two being Racing (1-1) and Espanyol.

In Europe, two teams managed to frustrate Barça’s efforts: Shakhtar, who won in the last game of the group phase (2-3) and Basle, who forced a draw 1-1).
