Messi: “The second leg, at home”

Speaking just hours before the Champions League draw, Leo Messi doesn’t know which team he would prefer but is absolutely certain he wants the second leg in the Camp Nou.


Leo Messi is hoping luck will be on Barça’s side in Nyon and that the second leg is at the Camp Nou: “I don’t know who I want to get but I’d like to finish at home”

Doing it or not is a question of time”.

Messi also took the opportunity to insist on his loyalty to Barça: “If it’s down to me, I’ll stay for life. There are things money can’t buy and I’m happy at Barça”.

The Argentine international also spoke about the disagreements between fellow countrymen Maradona and Riquelme, who has ruled himself out of the national team. He went on to say that he “didn’t mind” who wears the number 10 shirt for Argentine.

Messi thanked Fabio Capello, manger of the England team, for his recent praise and assured reporters that there’s no fear of Real Madrid in the squad, as Gudjohnsen. remarked in a recent press conference: “We have respect both for the club and for the players”.

82.022 euros for the underprivileged
Leo Messi was the star attraction at the presentation of the proceeds from the book '39 historias solidarias alrededor del deporte', written by sports journalists who follow the day to day of Barça.

The fourth edition of the book has collected 82.022 euros, which will go in full to the Foundation for children suffering from Fragile X syndrome: “I loved the idea and I’d like to congratulate the journalists on the initiative. This money will do a lot of good for these children”. The next edition will feature Xavi Hernández.
