Samuel Eto'o, Edmílson and Carles Puyol are the other three players missing. While the rest of the squad enjoyed a final training session on Saturday, Messi continued working on his individual recovery programme.

Rafael Márquez could also not been included in the squad after he was sent off in Barça's last league game against Athletic Club two weeks ago, having received two yellow cards. The Mexican did participate in training, however.
