Match cancelled due Typhoon Pabuk

Today’s game between FC Barcelona and the Missions Hills Invitation XI has been cancelled as a precautionary measure, due to the effects of Typhoon Pabuk.

Typhoon Pabuk has reached category 8 out of a maximum of 10 and is expected to pass very near to Hong Kong precisely when the match is scheduled to be drawing to an end, at 22.00 local time. The local authorities have advised against any kind of activity in the open air, as a precautionary measure, and that includes tonight’s friendly match.

Barça were due to start the day with a training session in the Sui Sai Wan Stadium, as they had done on Thursday. But the conditions were so poor due to Typhoon Pabuk that the session was called off and the players worked out in the hotel gymnasium instead.

Divided into three groups, the players went through a series of neuromuscular exercises coupled with aerobic activities on bicycles and running machines.
