Final training session in Japan

David Saura

Frank Rijkaard’s side has trained for the last time in Japan, just a few hours before the game with Yokohama. It was a one hour session in scorching heat.

Less humid but more sun

The blazing heat conditioned everything, including the warm-up drills. There may not have been the same humidity that the team endured in Beijing, but the sun was glaring down and temperatures were higher than 40 degrees.

WEB_11.jpgWork focused on crosses from the wing and target practice, but it was deliberately not the most physical of sessions. The team will not be training any more in Japan, for after the game on Tuesday they will be heading straight to the third and final destination: Hong Kong.

At the end of the session, Ronaldinho, who still has a bit of a problem with his ankle, was seen hobbling off holding an ice pack.

Unicef activity
Against Yokohama, Barça will be further promoting their agreement with Unicef. The players will take to the pitch in the company of children as part of a campaign focused on Aids and children. Several fund-raising activities in support of the campaign will be organised inside the stadium.
