Barça to be reference point in Qatar

Club President Sandro Rosell and economic vice president Javier Faus travel to Quatar next week for a series of conferences concerning the state of the game.

The Qatar government has invited the Club President and his economic vice-president to the event and both will travel this week to join up with representatives from other top European clubs.

Pep Guardiola was also invited to attend, but his commitment to the first team training sessions this week meant he was unable to accept.

Srs Rosell and Faus will also be in the Qatar capital Doha for Wednesday’s game between Brazil and Argentina.
