Camp Nou Experience: a success in every way

www.fcbarcelona.cat

The Camp Nou is still in fashion. There was a considerable increase in the number of stadium tours in 2010, producing an increase by almost 30% in income. The challenge now is to attract more local visitors.

The Camp Nou Experience, the collective name for the stadium tour, the museum visit and the multimedia space, made 30% more in 2010 than it did the previous year. In times of crisis, this is particularly satisfying, and seems to be the result of the expansion of the facilities over the last year. “The effort we have put into renovating this area has awakened a lot of interest”, said Jordi Penas, director of the Josep Lluís Núñez Museum. The Camp Nou Experience offers an even better way to explore the stadium and feel at one with Barça, its players and its historic achievements.

Increase in visitors

Grafic_Visitants_CNExperience.JPGThis improvement in the facilities has generated considerable interest among Barça and football fans, and the sporting successes have also provided decisive, to the extent that 1,303,738 people visited the Camp Nou Experience last year, which was more than 200,000 up on 2009, which got 1,089,925 visitors.

The busiest period in 2010 was August, which registered 215,000 visitors, “but there have been increases for all months of the year”, confirmed Penas. 2010 is very close to our overall record for the Camp Nou tour, which was 1,397,574 in 2007.

Positive feedback

Need for locals

These people are missing the chance to see how the space has improved and how it makes use of new technologies to reveal a side of the Camp Nou that they would never have imagined.
