Mia Hamm in Barcelona

The American ex-footballer Mia Hamm will be presented this Friday as Barca and la Fundación's new ambassador for the whole world, with special responsibility for the United States.

Mia Hamm was shown round the club on Thursday morning. Once the agreement between her and the club has been formalised her image will be used to promote the club and la Fundación throughout the world for the next three years.

Twice World Player of the Year

Hamm is considered to have been the best women's footballer of all time and was named FIFA Player of the Year in 2001 and 2002. She has taken advantage of the time she has in Barcelona to get to know the club's installations and she is scheduled to visit the Ciudad Deportiva to see a first team training session. Hamm also has a full diary of meetings and encounters with various media organisations.
