From Tokyo to Camp Nou

Yuki Matsumoto, a Japanese member of FC Barcelona since 2004, made the long trip all the way from Tokyo to Barcelona to watch Tuesday evening’s league clash with Tenerife after winning two tickets in a Club draw in March.
Matsumoto, Club member nº 98,921, didn’t think twice after winning the tickets and bought himself a trip to attend the Tenerife game in person together with his wife: “I arrived on the day of the match itself. On Wednesday I’ll go sightseeing in Barcelona and on Friday I’ll go back to Japan”.
Club philosophy
Yuki Matsumoto (32) lives in Tokyo and has been a Club member since 2004: “The first time I went to Barcelona I became a Club member and a fan of the team. I choose Barca mainly because of the philosophy and because they use home-grown players”.
Leo Messi
Matsumoto is delighted to be in Barcelona and with his visit to the Camp Nou. Speaking to
www.fcbarcelona.cat on Wednesday, he revealed that Leo Messi is a huge star in Japan:
“Japanese people love the way he plays”.
