Glover: “They are the real Lethal Weapons!”

Hollywood star Danny Glover was at the Nou Camp on Saturday night to watch the game and also to find out more about the work of the Fundació.


Danny Glover, star of Hollywood blockbusters such as Lethal Weapon, The Colour Purple, Beloved or Maverick was a guest at Saturday night’s game and he showed a great interest in the work of the club’s Fundació.

“It’s very special for me”

Glover is a UNICEF ambassador and expressed his satisfaction that a team such as Barca wear the organisation’s logo: “I’ve seen our logo all over the world and being able to come and support a team like this wearing it and helping the work of UNICEF with children through its foundation is very special for me”.

First visit to the Camp Nou 

2010-01-02_FCB_-_VILLARREAL_008.jpgThis wasn’t Glover’s first time in the city, but it was his first visit to the Nou Camp, in fact it was his first ever time at a football ground.

Before the game, Glover met with the Fundació director general Marta Segú and spoke with President Laporta at half time.

Finally, Glover paraphrasing the title of one of his most famous films commented. “six titles in a year are a lot – it’s clear this team is a real Lethal Weapon in the world of football”.
Glover: “They are the real Lethal Weapons!”
