Manel Soldevilla, director of the Social Commission, dies

FC Barcelona and its supporters clubs are in mourning following the death through a cruel illness on May 19 of Social Commission director Manel Soldevilla. He was 54.
Manel Soldevilla had been a director of the Social Commission – Supporters Club Area since 2004, and during that time he worked hard on different projects and at representing the club at supporters events. Manel Soldevilla was very familiar with the supporters’ club scene, for he spent 12 years running the Penya Barcelonista del Vallès in Sabadell.
He was highly familiar with the supporters’ movement in the Vallès region, but also travelled frequently to other clubs in Cantabria, Asturias and the Basque Country.
His funeral took place on Tuesday, May 20 at the Church of Sant Fèlix in Sabadell.
