CSKA Barca’s semi final rivals in Paris

CSKA Moscow will be Barca’s first rival in the Final Four in Paris after the Russian team beat Caja Laboral in Vitoria70-74 to take their series 3-1.

After a terrible start that saw CSKA take an 11 point lead into the second quarter, the hosts hit back winning the second 27-8. It was dramatically close at the end, with the Basque team 70-72 down and with a final chance to take the series into a fifth game, but it wasn’t to be and CSKA took the game and the place in Paris, 70-74.

Third Final Four meeting

Last season, CSKA beat Barca in the Final Four semis, winning 78-82 thanks to last gasp points from Siskauskas. The two teams also met in the 2006 Final Four in Prague, when Barca were beaten 85-74.
