The Cup returns

The Barça roller hockey squad won the 17th Cup in the Club’s history.

The team coached by Quim Paüls beat Roncato Vic 2-1 in the quarterfinals thanks to a goal by David Páez two minutes from the end. In the semi-finals, Barça had an easier ride against Liceo and won 5-2. The final was a repeat of the previous year’s pairing with Barça facing Reus.

Egurrola concedes just one goal

The Barça players had the added incentive of taking revenge for the defeat in last year’s final. Borregan made it 1-0 after just three minutes and Panadero added a second before halftime. Carlos López put the result beyond doubt with a third while Teixidó got a consolation goal for Reus with nine minutes left. So, Barça won 3-1 and Egurrola was chosen as MVP in the final.
