Pre-season 2006/07

Barça's handball team started the season well. After pre-season training camps in Andorra and Denmark, the blaugranes picked up their first titles, the Super Cup and the Pyrenean League, before the league itself had even started.

The pre-season of 2006-07 brought with itself great optimism. Espar’s men with signings of Perunicic, Larholm, Losert and Ugalde, kicked off the season with a hunger for titles. Two pre-season visits to Denmark and Andorra helped complete the physical preparations.

First Title

The final saw them match up to Granollers. Following an even matched first half, Juanin and Vori outfield and Losert in goal, Barça completely dominated and raced out ahead and never looked back to finish 34-21.

The twentieth Supercup

Barça returned to win the Asobal Supercup three years after they previously held aloft the title. The game was against BM Valladolid, played in Pontevedra and was a very even affair.

The first half saw the Castilian team take the initiative and go into the half time break leading by 2 (17-15). However, Iker Romero came out firing and took his total up to 12 and helped Barça come back into the game, which they won 33-36.
