Daniel Fernández Redondo

Daniel Fernández was born on September 24, 1977 in Madrid. He played futsal from a very young age, a sport that has gone on to become both his passion and his profession.

He moved into the elite of professional futsal at a remarkably tender age. He was just 16 when he started playing for the Boomerang Interviú first team, and just two years later he had debuted in the División de Honor. He went on to represent Móstoles, Caja Segovia and Guadalajara, and then came to what he describes as a ‘huge’ club in FC Barcelona, where he feels he is now enjoying the finest period of his entire career.

His most memorable moment as a player, he claims, was the fifth game of the promotion play-off at the end of the 2005-06 season in Gáldar (Canary Islands), a difficult game in which the whole side had to overcome huge pressure to win the right to rejoin the División de Honor. Dani is now one of the star players in the side that is now playing at the top level of the Spanish game.
