Youth futsal has a good year

All four of the youth futsal teams won their respective leagues last season, suggesting that the sport has a very bright future indeed at Barça.

The Under 16 team was the first to win its league, doing so with five games left to play. They beat Martorell 5-2 at the Ciutat Esportiva, to move into an unassailable lead of more than 15 points. It was a great year for the side coached by Miguel Ángel Palomar.

Other three sides follow suit

They won an amazing 23 games out of 24, drawing just once, away to Martorell.

Three cups for the Under 12s

The Under 12s became Spanish champions after beating Jaen 8-3 in a competition played in Las Rozas, Madrid. Their victims in the semi finals had been Melilla FS, beaten 6-1.

Under 14s

The Under 14s didn’t share the same fortune in the national playoffs. After an easy semi final win against Puertollano (10-3), they lost the final, played in the town of Boadilla, 10-5 to the home side.

Under 18s

The Under 18 side had a double to celebrate. After collecting the League honours, they added the Copa Catalunya by winning 11-4 against Martorell in the final played in Mataró.
