Ramon Canela, vice president of the Foundation, has visited Unicef’s biggest logistics centre in Copenhagen. He was there to improve the links and contacts with this division of the United Nations agency.
He specifically visited the Unicef Supplies Division in the Danish capital, where he was welcomed
by its director, Shanelle Hall, and her staff. This centre supplies the world with education,
health, leisure and other materials that are needed on the agency’s different charity
programmes.
Promoting Barça
Canela wanted to improve
ties with this centre, which works with 156 offices in the country, which share common values with
FC Barcelona. “The best favour we can do to the Barça brand is to associate it to names like
Unicef, who do so much to help children” he said.
From Copenhagen to the world
While he was there, Canela was shown around the warehouse, which is as big as 3 football
pitches. All of the items are sent to the field are stored here, such as the so-called
‘School-in-a-box’, which contains education material for a class of 40 pupils and
obstetric sets, all kinds of elements for helping women to give birth in dignified and hygienic
conditions. “The centre’s work is perfect, it is so orderly, cared for. Unicef is an
entity we can trust”, commented Canela.
