First team back at the Miniestadi
Marc Guillén / Vanessa Forns
After cruising through into the next round of the Spanish Cup on Wednesday night, the squad were back in training in preparation for the Villarreal game this morning, working out at the Miniestadi after the official photo at the Nou Camp.
The squad trained behind closed doors at the Mini Estadi at 11-00 this
morning, rather than at the Ciutat Esportiva, as they had previously taken part in the 2010/11
Official Team photo at the Nou Camp Stadium. The session was basically centred on recovering from
last night’s game
16 players
Sixteen of the squad came out onto the Mini Estadi pitch to train, with
the injured Milito, Adriano, who has gastroenteritis and Piqué, who trained in the gym, the only
squad players absent.
Jeffren making progress
Jeffren continues to make progress in returning from his back injury and today took
another step by joining in with the rest of the squad – taking part in the ball control and
possession exercises with the players who didn’t feature last night ,
Six from the reserve and youth teams
There were also four B team players - Jonathan dos Santos, Fontàs,
Bartra and Thiago – and two from the Youth A team –Rafa Alcántara and Deulofeu- at the
session. Once again then the Alcántara brothers were both involved in a first team squad training
session.
