Crowds turn out in Palafrugell

During the winter months, before the tourists come from all over Europe for the summer sun, Palafrugell is a quiet Costa Brava town, but the arrival of Barca for a training session brought the crowds out, with 4,000 people up to watch the team train.


The visit was planned as part of the town football team’s 100th anniversary celebrations and before the session began, the players posed with the current Palafrugell team for a commemorative photo on the pitch of the Josep Pla Stadium.

Interchange of plaques

2010-02-02_ENTRENO_03.JPGBoard members Albert Perrín and Jacint Borràs were the first members of the party to appear on the pitch for an interchange of commemorative plaques with representatives of the local supporters club, representatives of CF Palafrugell and the local town council.

Happy Birthday Piqué
Gerard Piqué has fast become a crowd favourite wherever he goes and the fans gave him a special reception in Palafrugell, singing “Happy Birthday” to him as it was announce d that today he was 23.
