The Tot Colors (All Colours) futsal tournament was created in 2004 by the Fundació FC Barcelona in
collaboration with the Centre UNESCO de Catalunya, the Catalan Football Federation and the Nike
company, sponsored by the Generalitat de Catalunya, through the Department of Welfare and Family,
and the town and city councils of Amposta, Barcelona, Gerona, Lleida, Perpignan, Tarragona and Vic
as well as the Government of Andorra, through its Ministry of Sports and Volunteering, This
intercultural and interterritorial competition promotes solidarity and civilian values through
sport and also helps with the social integration of immigrants and marginalised groups in our
country.
The first edition of the tournament was held in mid-July 2004 in Barcelona, Gerona, Tarragona
and Lleida and was a success in every sense. A total of 37 teams and 444 players took part, mainly
immigrants from such countries as Morocco, Colombia, Pakistan, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador,
Senegal, Mali, Brazil, Guinea, El Salvador and Honduras, as well as teams of Barcelona supporters
from the different cities. In both 2005 and 2006 there was an increase in entries, to the point
that there were around 800 registered for this summer.
