Dream as a gift

Christmas is a time when all children want their dreams to come true, although it is the most disfavoured that need our help. At this time of year, the Fundació del FCBarcelona is one of the many organisations that collects gifts for the needy as it arranges at one of the first team fixtures in the build up to Christmas for fans to bring a toy to offer as a Christmas present. The programme was started in 2003, in collaboration with the Red Cross and its volunteers, and around 5000 gifts were collected that year. The aim is to try to collect even more each year, and to do that, in 2006 the initiative was supported by the Family and Welfare Council, who helped organise the collection and transfer of all the toys.
