Attitudes and the Fundació organise road safety courses
More than 900 children will be able to take part in the different activities that the Attitudes Escuela Infantil de Educación Vial has organised in collaboration with the Fundació FC Barcelona, at the Camp Nou from April 16 to 29.
In morning and afternoon sessions, primary schools and different social organisations from around
the city, as well as FC Barcelona’s own pupils as its Youth Teams School, will benefit from
these weekday sessions. At the weekends, the facilities will be made available for all children
aged between 9 and 11 that register for the activity either through their schools or by phoning 685
960 357.
Forming positive road attitudes
The Attitudes Escuela Infantil de Educación Vial works on acquisition and education in
relation to positive attitudes to road safety, including the teaching of traffic signs and
regulations. Using an innovatively enjoyable educational programme, the pedagogic team will be
giving lessons on road safety theory and holding workshops that include drawing and computers, as
well as practical work on a special circuit for bicycles and electric go-karts that is appearing
for the first time in Barcelona.
1st World Road Safety Week
The activity coincides with the first ever Road Safety Week organised by the United Nations
from April 23 to 29, to raise awareness of the problem of traffic accidents and present actions and
campaigns to improve road safety on a worldwide level.
Eighth edition
Attitudes, an initiative created by Audi as part of its commitment to promoting road safety
and the protection of the environment, set up its Children’s Road Safety Education School in
2000 in order to help reduce the high level of child deaths on the roads, one of the main risk
groups in terms of traffic accidents. In its eighth edition, Attitudes will not only be visiting
Barcelona but also such other cities as Oviedo and Zaragoza, having already appeared this year in
Valladolid.
