With the slogan 'AIDS is also a children's issue', the bear Dubu, the mascot of the campaign, came
out last December 1 to the streets of Barcelona with the aim of sensitizing the public impact of
this disease in children. Barça and Unicef have been working during three years for this
cause and now is the time to share with the public with this initiative.
Action on the streets of Barcelona
The FC Barcelona Foundation and UNICEF organized various actions. About 4,000 Dubu
balloons were distributed over several points of the city of Barcelona (Plaza Catalunya, Plaza
Universidad, Plaza Urquinaona, Jardinets de Gracia, Maremàgnum and around the facilities of FC
Barcelona). These balloons, which were distributed with the help of volunteers, led a small
enclosed informative document on AIDS and its effects.
