FC Barcelona has committed itself, through its Foundation, to giving aid to the people of Haiti affected by the recent earthquake. Support will be given for the post-emergency period and for reconstruction projects via a contribution of 250,000 Euros that will go towards two particular areas:

• To guarantee medical aid in the post-emergency period to the most in need with special attention to mothers and children, through collaboration with the organisation Mèdicins Sans Frontières (MSF) via its base in Barcelona. 
• The rebuilding and the reopening of a primary school in one of the poorest neighbourhoods of Port-au-Prince that will then be included in the FC Barcelona Foundation’s XICS Programme. Consequently, the school will receive the necessary logistical and technical support necessary to guarantee quality education for the children involved. This help will come in the psycho-social field, extra classes, IT classes, aid in the area of health and nutrition and also in the areas of sport and leisure.

The FC Barcelona Foundation wishes to give its support to the international organisations that have been working on the ground since the disaster with the aim of helping the people of Haiti to deal with the impact of this catastrophic event.
